Strategic Approach
- Enhance monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity and threats in real-time, ensuring that UIC’s data and IT infrastructure are secure
- Promote awareness of privacy principles, address privacy considerations in program planning, safeguard privacy and promote transparency, and serve as a leader in the privacy community
- Promote and facilitate a data community that is focused on the unique needs of UIC
- Expand the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) across campus to provide meaningful insights into the applicant, student, and alumni journey
- Develop data governance and toolsets for secure, compliant, and simple to use university data
- Modernize Identity & Access Management infrastructure to support modern applications and enhance the security posture
- Ensure institutional data is available, accessible, and understandable, supporting a strong system integration platform
