Communication and Collaboration
Email
Part of the G Suite for Education core tools, Gmail is the official email for UIC students. UIC Gmail accounts are created for students by default, once a student’s NetID is activated. See the email activation guide on how to activate and access email.
Cloud Storage
Cloud-based storage is an online system in which a user is allocated storage space on a server and can share files with others over the Internet. Files stored in cloud-based storage can be accessed from nearly any device with an Internet connection.
Web Conferencing
Students have access to Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard Collaborate, and Zoom. These tools provide web conferencing capabilities.

UIC provides students with access to computer labs equipped with the latest software and technologies, device charging, printing services, equipment lending.
Software
Through the U of I Webstore, students can access cybersecurity software, UIC VPN, Mathematica and more at a discount or for FREE! Our licensing agreements often allow software to be used both on campus and on personal computers.

Students have access to a suite of Microsoft programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and more for FREEe to students with a valid UIC NetID and password. - Virtual Computer Lab
