Technical Helpdesk
Introduction
From Friday, August 8th until Friday, September 5th, 2025, the Technical Helpdesk will have extended hours from from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
What is the Technical Helpdesk?
The technical helpdesk provides tech support to all UIC students, faculty, instructors, staff, and guests. Our knowledgeable consultants can assist with university technology services, including:
- UIC Email
- Accounts and Passwords
- Blackboard
- Wireless Network (UIC-WiFi)
- Duo 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- WebStore software installations
- Cybersecurity and Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Printing Services
Where is the helpdesk located?

There is a helpdesk on the East and West campuses. Hours vary by semester. We look forward to serving you at:
East Campus
Richard J Daley Library
801 S. Morgan
Ground level South in the IDEA Commons
Schedule: Monday through Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
West Campus:
Library of Health Sciences
1750 W. Polk
Schedule: Mondays – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Fall and Spring Semesters only)
How can I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment with the Helpdesk team, visit it.uic.edu/schedule-support
- Select service:
- Duo 2FA, Wifi, Printing or VPN assistance (25 min)
- Virus Removal or Software Installation (55 min)
- Select date on Calendar.
- Select an available time.
Complete the details on the form and select “Book” to book the appointment. You will receive a confirmation and meeting details to the email provided.
