Maintenance Windows

Technology Solutions' maintenance windows are scheduled to have the least impact on UIC operations, and downtime for services is kept to a minimum. However, certain services may be unavailable for extended periods of time due to necessary updates. Below are the planned 2020-2021 Maintenance Window schedules. Email communications are sent to notify the UIC Community of scheduled global maintenance windows and what services may be impacted.
  • Global Windows

    Maintenance windows begin at 9:30pm on Friday and end at 11:59pm on Sunday.

    • August 13 – 15, 2021
    • December 17 – 19, 2021
    • March 18 – 20, 2022
    • May 13 – 15, 2022
  • Red WordPress Multisite

    Maintenance windows begin at 8:30am on Tuesdays and last 1-2 minutes. There is no expected downtime during this period, but please be aware that brief interruptions are possible.

  • Maintenance Calendar

    Service changes are reviewed and approved by the Technology Solutions Change Advisory Board and are scheduled for implementation. This calendar reflects the schedule of changes.

11/20 VoIP Phone Maintenance

[Update] 11/15 UIC Help Center maintenance

Update 11/15/21: To address remaining issues following the version 11.4 release, an additional maintenance period will occur from 11:00PM Monday 11/15 until 3:00AM Tuesday 11/16.

11/18 Wired Network Maintenance

On Thursday, November 18th, at 7:00AM, Technology Solutions will be performing maintenance on the wired network. No downtime is expected.

11/9 Eduroam Moving to Cloud Architecture

On Tuesday, November 9th, from 12:00AM to 11:59PM, Eduroam's Central Service will be moving to a Cloud architecture. We do not expect any impact to Eduroam logins.
