2/14 Upcoming Changes to University Login Page
Starting February 14, 2022 the UIC login page will look different
UIC Technology Solutions is pleased to announce that effective February 14, 2022, the UIC login page used for many university services will be refreshed with a new look and updated content. Additionally, we are adding the ability to log in to more university services and applications using either your UIC email address or your UIC NetID.

Starting Monday, February 14, 2022:
- UIC login page will have a new look
The UIC login page will be updated with a new look and updated content. - You will be able to use your UIC email to log in to more services
You will be able to use either your UIC email address or UIC NetID, along with your UIC password, to log in to:- University services and applications using Bluestem authentication
- UIC-WiFi
- University-managed Windows computers, including those in university computer labs

The primary UIC login page are encountered when logging into many University-supported applications and services such as Blackboard, Google Workspace, Box, the UIC Help Center, and LinkedIn Learning.

What will the UIC login page look like after February 14? Heading link
This login page is being updated with revised content and a new look in line with university branding featuring:
- New banner color
- Updated UIC logo
- Revised content
When you encounter the new UIC login page, do not be alarmed. You do not have to take any action, update any bookmarks, or reset your password.
Why is this change happening? Heading link
The UIC login page is being updated to align with current university branding, provide up-to-date help resources, and reflect the ability to use your UIC email address or your NetID.
Additionally, several current university systems, such as Microsoft Office 365, use Microsoft’s authentication service which requires use of your full UIC email address.
Adding support for use of your UIC email address instead of your NetID improves consistency with the UIC Microsoft login page, identifiable by the login page on the left.

You will need to continue using your NetID to access these resources:
- UIC VPN Service
- Apple computers managed by UIC
- U of I Enterprise Login page (image on right)
What else do I need to be aware of? Heading link
As always, it is important to keep your login credentials safe and be aware of where you enter your UIC login credentials. Be sure to review emails with links to external pages carefully and never enter login credentials on suspicious or unknown pages.
