New Server Backup Service Commvault Now Available
Technology Solutions is pleased to announce the availability of our new Server Backups service, based on backup technology from Commvault. Through this service, departmental IT units will install and manage backup clients on their department’s servers from a centralized management interface. Backups can either be stored on UIC Technology Solutions’ servers for a monthly per-gigabyte fee, or can be configured to be stored on approved cloud storage services.

Note that our previous backup solution, which was known as ADSM, TSM, or Spectrum Protect throughout the many years it was in service at UIC, will be decommissioned by the end of this fiscal year. We will communicate more specific details regarding the shutdown date and process with current stakeholders.
