UIC Advanced Cyberinfrastructure for Education and Research (ACER) and Argonne National Laboratory are happy to announce that Computational Research Symposium 2025 will take place on April 21st, as part of UIC Research Week. This symposium will provide a forum for UIC faculty, students, and staff to meet in an informal setting and present their work, exchange ideas, and learn how fellow researchers are using high-end computing to advance their research.
The program will run from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will include presentations, panel discussions, and a poster session, all designed to highlight the latest trends and techniques in high-performance computing, generative AI, and data science. Whether you’re a seasoned researcher, a newcomer, or someone seeking expert guidance for their computational data analysis, we encourage you to join us in this exciting event.
Coffee and lunch will be provided for all registered attendees. The registration form and additional information can be found on the Computational Research Symposium website.
Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible to secure your seat at the event.

One of the highlights of the symposium is the poster session, where UIC students, faculty, and staff can present their work to the greater UIC community. We strongly encourage submissions that showcase computational analysis and data visualization demonstrations with tangible or potential impact within specific research domains.
If you are interested in presenting a poster, please visit our Call for Submissions for more details and to submit your abstract. Poster abstracts must clearly demonstrate scientific merit and be well-advanced. The deadline for abstracts is March 31st. Submissions will be reviewed by members of the CRS 2025 Program Committee. Please note that due to space limitations, acceptance of all qualified abstracts cannot be guaranteed. In this case, priority will be given to early submissions. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by April 7th.
