9/5 – Red Website Infrastructure Migration Update – Reported issues with Red sites
The Red website infrastructure has been successfully migrated to Pantheon's cloud-based servers!
Please note, there are two known issues following the migration:
- Red pages with logins will need to be re-enabled.
As part of the migration, the authentication method for Red websites has changed from the legacy Bluestem authentication to Microsoft Azure AD. Due to this change, existing web pages that had login protection enabled will need to be re-enabled; for instructions on making this change, visit How do I re-enable a login page in my Red website after the September 5 migration to Pantheon?. We apologize for any inconvenience. - We have received reports that certain content on Red websites is not appearing as expected.
Technology Solutions has received reports that certain content on Red websites is not appearing as expected. If you encounter this for a site you manage, and would like Technology Solutions to restore the missing content on your Red website, we will be able to restore it to the state it was prior to Friday, September 2 at noon CT. Please submit your request to it.uic.edu/report-a-problem (selecting Web Hosting (Red) as the Topic) and ensure to include as much information as possible as to the affected page URL, what content is missing, what is not functioning properly and, if possible, screenshots of content before the migration.
