12/15 – Duo 2FA Service disruption – [Resolved]

UPDATE: As of 12/15 at 10:30 am CT, Duo has reported service has been restored and outage has been resolved.

We have confirmed restored functionality for Duo 2FA with Microsoft services, and are re-enabling the 2FA requirement to access UIC Microsoft services, including Outlook/Exchange, now.

Technology Solutions has received reports that the Duo 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) service is experiencing service outages. As a result, clients may experience issues when trying to log into UIC services that require Duo 2FA including Microsoft services, Box, Qualtrics, and the UIC VPN.

Technology Solutions has temporarily deactivated Duo 2FA for Microsoft services, and will re-enable when the outage has been resolved. The vendor is aware of the outage and is working to repair the service. We will keep the Community informed of any updates.
