Abstract
Persons that use assistive technology may encounter barriers that may prevent access to vital information shared on social media by the University of Illinois Chicago. Someone with a disability using a screen reader should have the same access to information disseminated by UIC as persons without disabilities. This session will highlight common barriers encountered by screen reader users.
