Want to get a jump on assessing whether or not your new website or application is going to have accessibility issues? This talk will guide you through simple ways to get an idea what you are facing in terms of accessibility by using some of the many free tools available. We’ll also discuss starter tips that don’t require any kind of tool.

Tim Offenstein | University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)

Tim Offenstein worked on the UIUC campus in various capacities since the early 1990s. Retiring in 2020, he has returned as Extra Help for the Quality Assurance and Assessment team within Technology Services. Tim is continuing his work in web and application accessibility reviews, helping the University meet the new DOJ ADA Title Two requirements. In his free time, Tim is managing Falling Leaf Chess where he builds and sells chess sets through Etsy.com.
