Thursday, May 20, 2021, help us celebrate the tenth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than One Billion people with disabilities/impairments.

- PDF Accessibility Webinar: The War on PDFs (Virtual): Recently, the UK government updated its content design guidance for open formats. The update has underlined a commitment to open standards and clearly mandated GOV.UK publishers to provide accessible alternatives to PDFs.
- AccessU (Virtual): This three-day web accessibility training institute teaches accessibility, usability, and inclusive design skills in an interactive and communal environment where anyone in any role will learn everything they need to know about integrating accessibility into their company.
- Panel Discussion – Busting Myths about People with Disabilities (Virtual)
- Webinar: Digital accessibility by Patient Information Forum(PIF) - (Virtual): To mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day PIF’s expert panel of speakers will describe the personal impact of inaccessible tools and discuss solutions to improve accessibility. Speakers from Ability Net, Public Digital Health and Care Wales and TextHelp.
