Call for Poster Submissions

We cordially invite UIC faculty, staff, and student to submit abstracts for the poster track of the 2026 Computational Research Symposium.

This is an excellent opportunity for all members of the UIC research community to share their cutting-edge findings related to data analysis, data visualization, and high-performance computing.

Whether you're a seasoned expert, a newcomer, or someone seeking expert guidance for their computational data analysis, we encourage you to participate in our engaging poster session. Posters can encompass technical descriptions, smaller research contributions, ongoing projects, and student endeavors. We strongly encourage submissions that showcase computational analysis and data visualization demonstrations with tangible or potential impact within specific domains.

Poster abstracts must clearly demonstrate scientific merit and be well-advanced. Submissions will be reviewed by members of the CRS 2026 Program Committee. Please note that due to space limitations, acceptance of all qualified abstracts cannot be guaranteed. In this case, priority will be given to early submissions.

Go to the Poster Submission Form to submit your abstract.

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 3rd 2026

Notification of Poster Acceptance: April 7th 2026

Recommended Poster Format:

  • Statement of Topic: A short title.
  • Abstract (Description): The abstract is a short description of your poster.
  • Purpose: What was the intent or goal of the study? What did you want to learn?
  • Background/Significance: What was the problem and why was it important? What knowledge are you building on?
  • Method: What was the design? What was the data? What tools were used? How was the data collected and analyzed?
