Michelle Mitchell is the IT Accessibility Program Coordinator at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). In her role, Michelle supports campus-wide efforts to advance digital inclusion and promote accessible practices. Michelle has completed the Trusted Tester certification, enhancing the team’s capacity to consistently evaluate digital resources and uphold accessibility standards across the university.
She also organizes and promotes monthly accessibility trainings for faculty and staff. These sessions provide practical guidance, foster awareness, and encourage a culture of accessibility across the university. She is dedicated to ensuring that the UIC community benefits from more inclusive and equitable digital experiences.
